ABOUT BRYCE LAYMAN Bryce Layman grew up in the southeastern states, moving to central Florida with his family in 1968. The only son of a pioneer radio broadcaster, Bryce began guitar lessons at a local music store and was soon playing in garage bands with other teens. Songwriting began soon after where Bryce accompanied his own poetry with rhythm guitar. Interest in music had begun much earlier through his father's radio station where Bryce later worked as an announcer.
In the mid-1980's a guitar magazine article led Bryce to a discovery: a form of music known as "New Age". Defined as "an un-intrusive musical style using both acoustic and electronic instruments that draws on classical, jazz and rock music", Bryce bought some records (yes, records) to check it out. Incredible! This was the same type of music Bryce had been writing and playing all along. He was inspired to play and write even more music. Analog home recording equipment drove the desire to create even more music at home in the 1990's.
